We have an exclusive interview with Angela James, the first Black woman inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. She tells us her thoughts on being a hockey player, her love of the game, and why it’s important to speak out in difficult situations especially in regards to racial injustice. She is a former hockey player who is 6X MVP of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL). She played with Team Canada in the first IIHF World Women’s Championship in 1990, setting a scoring record of 11 goals and leading Canada to the gold medal. She played in three additional world championships, winning gold medals in 1992, 1994, and 1997. She is a Hall of Fame Inductee of the Hockey Hall of Fame and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
