The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation is hosting Cricket to Conquer Cancer, Canada’s inaugural street cricket fundraiser, on May 31, 2025, at Celebration Square in Mississauga, Ontario. This event aims to raise funds for life-saving cancer research at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Event Highlights:
• Co-ed Teams: Participants of all ages and skill levels are invited to form teams of 6-8 players. Each team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $6,000 prior to game day to support cancer research.
• Match Day Schedule: The day will commence with registration and breakfast at 9 a.m., followed by matches starting at 11:30 a.m. The event will also feature opening ceremonies, a celebrity match, player awards, and conclude with a pavilion gathering in the evening.
• Celebrity Participation: Notable cricket figures, including international stars, will join participants, enhancing the experience and supporting the cause.
Cricket to Conquer Cancer reflects the growing popularity of cricket in Canada and addresses the urgent need to conquer cancer. With 2 in 5 Canadians facing a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, this event provides an opportunity for the community to come together and make a meaningful impact.
