Ethiopia. Seychelles. One incredible African adventure.
Visiting the beautiful country of Ethiopia!
Our first trip to Ethiopia was truly an unforgettable experience! Our journey began in Addis Ababa before we flew to Bahir Dar, where we explored the breathtaking shores of Lake Tana and witnessed the spectacular Blue Nile Waterfalls.
From Bahir Dar, we travelled to Gondar, making memorable stops along the way, including the Awramba community and the vibrant Mercato Market. We also had the opportunity to experience authentic Ethiopian cuisine at the renowned Four Sisters Restaurant.
During our journey, we spoke with Birhan Abate about travelling to Africa with Ethiopian Airlines and explored some of Ethiopia’s rich history and culture. We visited the beautiful Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa, the final resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie.
From the people and food to the history, culture and incredible landscapes, our first visit to Ethiopia gave us a glimpse into a country that truly has so much to discover.
Seychelles: Paradise in the Indian Ocean
On this episode of Caribbean Vibrations, we journey to the breathtaking Seychelles Islands, travelling from Mahé to Praslin and then on to La Digue.
Our adventure takes us inside the Takamaka Rum Seychelles Distillery, where we discover the story behind one of the islands’ most celebrated spirits. We also sit down with the Kreol King of the Islands, Patrick Victor, to learn more about Seychelles’ unique culture, music and Creole heritage.
We explore the world-famous Vallée de Mai on Praslin and speak with Sherin Francis of the Seychelles Tourism Board about what makes this island nation such a special destination. On La Digue, we enjoy authentic local cuisine at Chef Jules and take time to relax on some of the most pristine and spectacular beaches in the world.
But first, our journey begins on Mahé, where we learn the traditional art of making toddy, a local drink made from the sap of the coconut palm.
